When talking about the product competitiveness, General Manager Yang mentioned the supporting core technology – the "Dual-Ion Modified Gel Technology" from Ocean University of China, which the company invested in back in 2019. This technology has broken through the cost bottleneck of traditional single-ion gel technology, making the industrialized production of kelp-based biodegradable agricultural mulch film possible.
Regarding the potential for international cooperation, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions. Virginia Tan stated that Indonesia not only possesses abundant algal resources such as sargassum and ulva but also lacks mature processing technologies and industrial chains. General Manager Yang proposed that through the model of "technology licensing + joint venture cooperation", the mulch film production technology of Ocean-Related Technology could be combined with Indonesia’s advantage in raw materials to jointly explore the green agriculture market in Southeast Asia.
At the end of the discussion, the two parties reached a preliminary consensus: In the follow-up, they will organize Indonesian agricultural and technical teams to conduct an on-site inspection of the under-forest planting demonstration production line of Ocean-Related Technology in Changle. They will further refine the cooperation plan, promote the application of kelp-based biodegradable agricultural mulch film technology in Southeast Asia, and contribute a "China-Indonesia solution" to global white pollution control and sustainable agricultural development.
